Roof Panel Restoration: . The first step was to address the deteriorating coating on the metal roof panels. Over time, the coating on these panels had deteriorated significantly, resulting in visible rust in several areas. Additionally, the existing gutter system exhibited rust and required immediate repair. The existing coating was meticulously ground off to prepare the surface for treatment. We then applied the Giromax Seamsil coating, a specialised solution designed to protect and extend the life of metal roof sheets. This coating was applied to all existing metal roof sheets, ensuring a uniform and durable finish.

Cut Edge Corrosion Treatment: To further enhance the longevity of the roof, we carried out a cut edge corrosion treatment. This involved treating the side and end laps of the roof panels, areas particularly susceptible to corrosion. The treatment effectively sealed these edges, preventing future rust and corrosion.

Gutter System Replacement: Given the extent of rust on the existing gutter system, a complete replacement was necessary. We installed a state-of-the-art Fatra membrane-coated metal gutter system. This new system features heat-welded joints, ensuring a robust and leak-proof solution.

Safety and Operational Considerations: All restoration activities were conducted during the building's regular operating hours. Consequently, we implemented stringent safety measures to protect pedestrians, occupants, and our workers. This included setting up secure work zones, using protective barriers, and maintaining clear communication with building management to minimise disruptions.
